Betrayal hurts so badly because only a friend can betray us. However, instead of running away from the body of Christ after betrayal, Pastor Wilber encourages us to stick around to realize our dreams, both individually and collectively. Even as we can continue to exist after certain bodily members fail us, the body of Christ will continue to live after the failure of a member; but it will suffer in its absence. So instead of inflicting suffering on the body of Christ by leaving, we should extend forgiveness to those who betray even as God has forgiven us.
