Pastor Basil Wilber asks us, “Are we in love with the world, or are we in love with God?” When we think of Samson, we unfortunately always think of Delilah. God invested in Samson, but he proved himself a poor investment because Samson took what God invested in him and used it for his own gain. In the end, he lost all that he had. Instead of mimicking Samson’s lack of discretion, we should raise a higher standard in order to grow closer to God.
