Don’t Quit, Continue!

Many are quick to quit in today's society. However, Pastor Rick Kielley reminds us that Jesus commanded His disciples to continue beyond even that which the law required. God wants us to continue in His works and His words to create a legacy of Christian living that will continue beyond even our own physical mortality.

Overcoming Self Disappointment

Not long after Jesus praised Simon Peter by declaring He would build His church on Peter's revelation of who He was, Jesus rebuked Peter on numerous occasions and even foretold Peter's denial. Pastor Rick Kielley reminds us that the difference between Judas and Peter is that Peter was able to overcome his own disappointment in himself.

Innocent Blood

God confronted Cain after hearing the cries from the blood of his fallen brother. Pastor Rick Kielley reminds us that innocent blood still has a voice today in the form of the forgiving power of Jesus Christ. Satan has no ability to overcome that blood or the word of our testimony. And these are the tools that we should be using daily to live victoriously.

Baptism of Suffering

Just as Christ suffered prior to His death, Christians should also expect persecution. Pastor Steven Kielley reiterates that it's God's Spirit moving through the Church that makes it a vibrant, living thing. And without it, we are powerless to change this world. Part of this characteristic is the fact that we will face hardship. But the problems we face only make us stronger if we are faithful to the end.

Habakkuk

When God doesn't move in a way we expect, we may question not only our faith, but also our perception of God's plan for our lives. Pastor Steven Kielley reminds us that if Satan can get us to question God's sovereignty and place doubt in our minds, he may overcome us in our faith. Even as Habakkuk had trouble reconciling his view of the impending doom of Judah at the hands of the Babylonians, the question isn't about whether we believe in God, it's what kind of a God do we believe in.
