Yield

Instead of worrying about our future circumstances that may cause pain in our lives, we need to yield ourselves to God and remember the grace that He previously bestowed upon us. Pastor Rick Kielley shares his testimony of how God allowed him to endure pain and suffering in his life so that he could help others who might experience similar circumstances.

Transformation Day

Although we each may have character defects due to our individual genetics, family lives, and choices we have made, Pastor Rick Kielley reminds us that we can obtain new predispositions to righteous living through salvation. Nevertheless, we are encouraged to focus on changing one defect at a time, living victoriously one day at a time, accepting God's power, envisioning what we want to become, doing good, fellowshipping with people who help, and acknowledging progress.

Dissipated and Dispersed

The one thing that we keep throughout all of eternity is relationship. Everything else in our lives will eventually be discarded. Consequently, Pastor Rick Kielley encourages us to set aside all resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness in order to preserve our relationships and obtain mercy from God.

Overcoming Guilt

The roots of our guilt are relational. Pastor Kielley suggests that we sit down with God with a pen and paper and conduct an honest assessment of our guilt and determine what we need from Him to overcome. Instead of allowing guilt to damage our relationships and keep us stuck in the past, we need to let God be God so that He can prosper us spiritually first, then physically and financially.

Lavishing Love

When Mary Magdalene broke her alabaster box of ointment at Jesus' feet, she poured out her love on Him. But when Jesus gave His body to be broken in death, it allowed His Spirit to be poured out on all flesh. The Spirit of God brings us into the body of Christ, which is the Church. And it is our responsibility to pour out our love on His body, of which He is the head.

Choices

In Part 3 of this series, Pastor Rick Kielley explains that pride, guilt, fear, worry, and doubt are states of consciousness that may keep us from getting the help we often need. Instead of exhibiting these characteristics, we need to choose to trust God that all things will work together for those who love Him.
