Sticks and Stones

Sticks and Stones

Basil Wilber

Sep 26, 2013, 7:00 PM

Pastor Basil Wilber counsels the Abundant Life Church body to encourage each other in the Lord instead of saying things that bring others down. Although the old saying reads, “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me,” Pastor Wilber argues the exact opposite – and that is the words we say can and will have a real effect on others, either positively or negatively. As Christians, we have to forgive those who may speak hurtful things against us in order to ultimately encourage them into Christ’s righteousness.
